AS&RS services

All our services include support for you which is:

• focused on your safety, health and wellbeing
• under systems that reflect your individual needs
• designed to enable you to live as independently as possible. 

We offer 2 different types of accommodation services:

• assistance in shared living arrangements (accommodation support)
• short-term accommodation support (overnight respite).

Assistance in shared living arrangements (accommodation support)

AS&RS offers accommodation support to people with an intellectual disability living in shared households with one or more other people with a disability. In a typical AS&RS household, 2 to 4 people share their home and are supported by a team of Residential Care Officers working a 24-hour roster.

People receiving accommodation services from AS&RS usually require higher levels of support (e.g. 24 hour support with an awake nightshift). AS&RS accommodation services are available in many locations across Queensland.

Short-term accommodation support (overnight respite)

Our overnight respite service offers people with an intellectual disability an opportunity for a short break living in one of our respite centres sharing support with up to 4 other people.

We have short-term accommodation options in different centres within local communities across Queensland. We work with people whose support needs mean that they require support in most areas of their care or who may need higher levels of support.

Our centres operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week and offer support with an awake night shift. The centres may be closed for short periods of time throughout the year due to a number of factors including repairs and maintenance or for some public holidays.
