Ballet workshops for seniors

We have partnered with Queensland Ballet to bring back the popular Ballet for Seniors workshop to celebrate Queensland’s first Seniors Month in October. With stage 2 restrictions in place in south-east Queensland, we have prioritised the health and safety of Queenslanders by replacing the live Ballet for Seniors workshops scheduled for Sunday 3 October in Brisbane with an online class for everyone to enjoy.

The class is introduced by renowned Queensland Ballet artistic director Li Cunxin and led by an experienced teacher so everyone can join in the state-wide celebrations from wherever you are.

Health and safety for participants

To protect your health and safety, please observe the following guidelines:

  1. The dance space surrounding you must be clear of all hazardous objects, including items on the floor, cords, low hanging ceiling fans, etc.
  2. You will require a comfortable and stable chair for the classes.
  3. Be aware of the floor surface you are dancing on, and ensure there is no risk of slipping or tripping. In most circumstances, it is preferred that you are barefoot or wearing grip socks/dance shoes.
  4. We recommend that you take breaks as required. You can pause the video at any time.
