Our media team is available Monday to Friday during standard business hours.

Contact us by emailing media@datsip.qld.gov.au with your full name, contact details, media organisation, questions and deadline.

We prioritise requests and every effort is made to meet reasonable deadlines and requests.

  • deadly stories—this Facebook page shares positive stories about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders as well as topical news, events and stories featuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, languages and histories.
  • YEP QLD Facebook—this Facebook page promotes education and employment pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders. It also provides a platform for current participants and past candidates to share information, successes and tips to take their careers to the next level.
  • Queensland Seniors—this Facebook page shares news, stories and information for Queensland seniors.

  • MobTube—The videos shared on MobTube are related to the work undertaken by the department. It provides a platform to share inspirational stories, and celebrate the rich cultural history of Queensland’s Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Thriving Communities—The videos shared on Thriving Communities are related to the work undertaken by the department and include inspirational stories shared by seniors and people with disability.
